Now, Rob Emrys is being called by something sinister and unseen, a command he must obey. While his brother, Galen, desperately attempts to save his brother, Rob finds himself unwillingly summoned to what could very possibly be his death—or worse.

The idea of the Ancient, things that existed before humans ever walked the earth, has fascinated me most of my life.
What was here before? Who were they? And what would happen if a creature of that ancient world were to walk in the modern world?
It seemed like a question for the Emrys Custodes Noctis. The story leads them from the city to the empty, echoing canyons of Eastern Washington and along the Columbia.
I love that part of the state, there is something in those lands that moves me, the scent of sage, the heat radiating from the basalt and always that whisper of something you can’t quite hear.
